The week before I finished painting the walls of the second floor in the studio. This week, the floor arrived! I painstakingly carried everything up from the entrance in the sweltering heat. Tomorrow, afternoon, I will begin to lay the floor. I hope to have it finished by the end of the week in order to finally move the studio up there an start working from there. Photos of that later. I did complete some hats this week despite all the construction going on. It is indeed taking up a lot of my time and energy, but it will be worth it in the end.
My two new major tools, that will be on the ground floor are being loaded onto a cargo plane and should arrive to Sweden shortly. I know that I am probably confusing the term for floor levels. In Swedish it's first floor and second floor. In English I suppose it is ground floor and first floor. Know that there are two levels in my studio. The upper level will be where all hats are assemble and completed. The ground floor level will have all the heavy equipment, blocks etc. and will be a place for hot steam and water. This will become more clear in the future, because I would have to show you how it is. My new estimate to complete the studio July month, even thought I always work on improvements, is on track to be achieved. Very happy about this and I might just be able to welcome visitors already in August. Let's see how it develops.
I hope you enjoy the unique hats in the photos. The Bogart with a Maltese Falcon crown crease has a double crown ribbon. Makes for an unique effect.
I better get back to it! Thank you for your continued support with orders and kind words. Donations goes a long way to keep me alive, much appreciated!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
