We are starting the new year with some wonderful hats! This week has been fantastic! My new felts are finally on the way to the studio, two new colors, that I will be able to share with you next week. It's been a while since I had a shipment of felts arriving to the studio, I kind of missed it.
I have been exploring certain new details when finishing the hats. Recently, I have been looking at the impact of a different color thread for when I assemble the sweatbands or making the brim binding. If you look back at last weeks blog then you know what I mean. But also adding additional color details to the liner has added an incredible detail to the hats. The bow on the crown has been finished with a touch of a different color. Gold or as in this Camel fedora there is a touch of green that goes well with the color of the liner inside the hat. I am not charging extra to make your hat stand out like this. Just let me know what you want and I am happy to make it for you.
I am very much looking forward to the next month when I am expected to move to a new home and a new place for my studio. A much larger place where I will be able to expand and house new tools and machines that will bring the hats to a whole different level. It will be easier on my hands for sure. Don't worry, the hats will still be hand made. Perhaps towards the summer months you will see what I mean.
