Spring is just wonderful! I am spending more time outdoor, and there is a lot that needs to be done outside. Our backyard is being prepped for the summer and a new chicken coup is being built. The old one has to go first and the ground needs to be prepped. Very exciting!
At Hufvud, things are moving forward. I have tools and equipment coming from now until end of summer that will enhance the way I work. Mainly making things more convenient. There are several ways to make hats, each process can be made with less tools but takes more time. Specialty tools makes things easier and reduce the process of a certain stage. I like being able to make more hats in a shorter period of time while still maintaining the high quality. Besides, knowing the basics of crafting hats is vital. I will start to teach in the future, but my new studio needs to be ready to accept visitors for a learning experience. But sooner than later, I will roll out a curriculum and present it to the world.
This week I finished two special LEIFUR FEDORAS in Steel and Cognac. Both are 50X Beaver Blends and will be available in the Marketplace later today. I hope you enjoy the photos. I have not had the time to make another YouTube Episode, but I will get back to that soon.
