It's a great joy to be working indoors during the winter months. I usually take my break during the summer months. Enjoy the weather and work outdoors on something that enhance our lifestyle in the countryside. Wishful thinking, but spring is almost here! Something to look forward to.
Some lovely looking hats were completed this week. I have been asked for some time now to finish the ribbon like the vintage Stetson Musketeer fedora. Love the look. I decided on a 2 layer ribbon instead of the 3 layer, or pleated, one seen in the poster. Looks amazing and it was a lot of fun to make. Lot of fun, but took some time to assemble. I think I will attempt to make one with 3 or 4 pleats. Why not, spice things up a bit. This particular hat in Dark Navy Blue, 100X Beaver, is available in the Marketplace of this site.
Lovely looking Cagney Fedora in 50X Beaver Blend, Emerald Gray. It has been a very popular hat, made in various crown heights and brim widths. Lastly, I got the opportunity to craft a custom order for a customer looking for a hat resembling the one worn by the late Richard Roundtree, who passed away last year. I did not grow up in the 70s watching Shaft, but I did hear about him in the late 90s. Great looking hat indeed.
My first quarter of this year is swamped with events. Things happening all around me that needs my attention. Luckily, I am making more hats at a faster pace. I am still updating the website, wish I had found someone who could do it for me without charging a lot for it. At the moment, the website will take time to be completed, but I am doing my best to have it finished.
Great start of the year! Thanks for your orders and kind words of encouragements. All very much appreciated!
