Hatmaker Week 25, June 2023: Midsummer Celebration!

Hatmaker Week 25, June 2023: Midsummer Celebration!

Posted by Mikael Einarsson on

We have just experienced the longest day of the year. On the 21st of June, the sun was up until very late that day. Also, this weekend we celebrated the Midsummer festival. I don't take part in any major celebration but people generally dance around a pole in the ground and make funny noises. Could be due to the amount of alcohol consumed.

I did, however, focus on the second floor of the studio which I was aiming to have ready by this week. I still need to finish painting the walls and my new floor has not arrived yet. Latest estimate is mid July. I will be finishing up the floor during July that is. In other news, my new tools are being prepared for shipping next week. They should arrive in Mid July as well. Perfect timing or it might just make things more complicated. I really need to move out of the 1st floor in to the new floor in order to make the production of hats more efficient. Customers are also waiting to visit. Sorry to keep you waiting, but it will be worth it in the end.

The days and nights are very hot, hotter than it has been in years. Therefore, I do not wish to spend much time in front of the screen. I will keep this blog post very short. As always, apparently. There is a lot going on here.

Thank you for your continued support, orders, donations and kind words. All much appreciated!

Regards,
