Everyone loves a good discount and the season for it is beginning now. Come to think about it, there seems to be discount going on all the time. I don't like it at all. Here is the reason, it devalues the product. It indirectly tells you that the product is definitely not worth its original price. I don't place discount on my products, even though it's a business norm in the rest of the world. Then again, I have always gone away from the current trend and paved my own path. You can, however, find reduced price on hats in the Marketplace page. That's because these are Ready Made Hats that are made in a standard manner without requested customization. Should I place a discount on these hats, then I am no longer running a business but a charity as the breakeven point is getting closer. Material costs are increasing, shipping cost is increasing. I am tempted to raise the prices but I want you to have a fair price for the products that I craft. Does that make sense? If I could get my hands on cheaper material, then I could make cheaper hats. Every single felt manufacturer has a +9 month wait for material delivery. It makes it very difficult to plan ahead.
Things are going great! As promised, I crafted more Bogart fedoras and more are on the way. It's a very unique style of hat and I am happy that it has become very popular. In this blog you will see two custom orders for Bogart style. Black felt in 30X Beaver Blend and an Emerald Gray felt in 100X Beaver. Absolutely amazing. The photos of the black Bogart did not turn out so great, but I did take a video of the hat which is uploaded to YouTube. Speaking of which, my YouTube Channel is growing! Close to 200 Subscribers! Amazing. Not enough to monetize on it but it's great to reach out and show the fedoras in movement. If you have not already, go over to YouTube an subscribe to the Hufvud Hatmaker Channel and stay up to date for all new videos.
Thank you very much for following, placing orders, donating and sending all the love!
