Hatmaker Week 49, December 2022: Winter is here!

Hatmaker Week 49, December 2022: Winter is here!

It's beginning to look a lot like winter! It has been years since I experienced minus degrees (Celsius) in December and right before Christmas, in Sweden. Snow has fallen to the ground and the trees looks frozen. Wonderful!

This week has been a Bogart week. I have been experimenting with this style and I have come to the conclusion that this style of brim binding and ribbon style makes this hat look amazing. 4mm brim binding, just love it and I want to craft more hats with this ribbon width. For shorter brims, the width of the binding looks amazing. But even for wider brims it can look spectacular. Just wait for next weeks blog as I have something new to show you.

Bogart in 100X Beaver. One in Silverbelly and one in Black. I admit, the Black looks a bit like blue in the photo. I think its due to the dark brown ribbon around the crown. It truly is black though. Both of these hats will be available in the Marketplace tonight.

Things are moving forward with the move. I was expecting new felts at the end of November, but they have been delayed. Latest word from the manufacturer was that they would be ready by end of next week. A couple of days in transit, following the payment going through, I should have the new felts just in time for Christmas or at least before New Years Eve. Either way, felts are coming in and that is something to celebrate. Next batch of felts won't arrive until next summer. I better start planning for Autumn 2023 today.

That's all for this week! Thank you for your continued support, orders, donations and kind words. All much appreciated!
