Hatmaker Week 52, January 2023: Happy New Year 2023!

Hatmaker Week 52, January 2023: Happy New Year 2023!

Posted by Mikael Einarsson on

Happy New Year everyone! This is the beginning of a new year. 2023 will be a year to remember. Many new hats will emerge and new ways of crafting them. This year I am taking Hufvud to a whole other level. I have made my plans and I am commencing with proper actions to make it happen. There will be new tools and there will be new hat styles. As I hinted in the previous blog posts, Western hats are coming to Hufvud. Thick and robust hats that will take a punch for when you need it. Three different felt composition and a whole range of crown shapes. This is truly amazing!

I have had a bit of a break over Christmas but now I am back in the studio with full steam ahead. I was hoping to finish this wonderful Leifur Fedora in Burgundy Color last week, before I took some holiday. But here it is. Available in the Marketplace later today for direct purchase. My western hats will need another week or two before they are available. I hope you like the details of this hat. I wanted to try to sew the brim binding with a different color thread. It makes for a very unique look and truly makes the edge stand out. I couldn't help myself with the look of the Bow, adding a bit of gold in the middle.

Got much to do and I am excited to get started! Have a wonderful 2023 and stay tuned for what is happening at Hufvud. Big move happening in February!
