It is Christmas Eve! Today, I have been working in the studio. Just a little bit. I really can't stay away from there. Makes me happy, and others as well, so no harm done. The morning started out with snow in the backyard, which in the afternoon was gone. Rain for the rest of the day. Usually, Christmases in South of Sweden is not always accompanied with a snowy landscape. It has happened, but winter doesn't really start until January. New Years eve tends to be cold. That's only a week away!
I am planning for the next year 2024. I still have more tools being purchased throughout next year. I am ever expanding my small business. So much in fact, that I am working on more hats at the same time than ever before. As I was counting my notes yesterday, I found over 20 hats being worked on. That is fantastic and a great testament to the efficiency in production. The investments I made during 2022 and 2023 is finally paying off. Next step would be to hire help as I only have a set of hands ready to craft hats. I have talked about this before and it is a very difficult decision to make to hire someone part time or full time even. The studio is fully stocked with felts, I just need to craft a lot more hats. I am looking at ways to make the process of crafting hats even more efficient. 2024 is going to be a wonderful year. Give me a another week and I will present my plan for next year.
